Full-day throwing workshop (2 people)

Course Description

In this 6-hour workshop, suitable for beginners as well as those who have done some throwing before, you will each get your own wheel to use and can have a go at the fun and tricky art of throwing pots on the wheel. You will get a demonstration on the wheel from your tutor and will be able to try centering, shaping your pot and trimming it as well. You can decide whether to explore some decoration techniques for your pots or can choose from our lovely dipping glazes which we will apply to your pot after the first firing. You are also welcome to spend part of the session throwing and part of the session making something using hand-building techniques if you prefer. The price includes the firing and glazing of the six best pieces you make. We will provide a nice sandwich lunch. If you aren't local. we can arrange to post the pottery to you when it's ready.
