One-to-one tuition & consultancy
One-to-one tuition
If you prefer a quieter learning environment, or just want our full attention, then you can book a one-to-one session of either throwing on the wheel or hand-building. What you make in the session is up to you, and we can discuss beforehand an estimate of how long such an object may take to make.
If you're interested in learning to throw but are happy to be paired up with another student, please see details on our throwing page.
It's up to you how long the session lasts, and if you stay for the whole day we will give you lunch!
Consultancy
We also offer consultancy and technical help for more experienced potters. If you'd like to talk about advanced glazing or decoration options, want advice on setting up your own studio, or are planning something ambitious or complex, we might be able to help.
Prices:
£45 per hour.
One-to-one and consultancy work will need to be booked around regular classes and workshops.
Where relevant, the prices above include clay, a selection of glazes and firing costs. Hot drinks and aprons are provided.
On-street parking is free at weekends and you can park on our drive at other times.
Postage costs (if needed) will be extra and are usually around £7 for a small piece, sent signed for delivery.
