Group workshops & Parties
Do something different for your birthday party, family reunion or get together, with a Hot Fox Pottery workshop. 'Off the peg' options and prices are below, but the session can be tailored to fit your needs and numbers, so please use our booking/enquiry link to discuss. If you aren't a hen party but would like to make one of our legendary booby pots, that's fine too of course!
No previous pottery experience is needed for any of the workshops and complete beginners really can make something lovely.
Group Size
We can accommodate groups of 6 - 35 people, depending on the workshop you choose.
Venue
For groups of 6 - 8 the workshop will be held in our studio.
For larger groups we will hold the party in a private space in the centrally located Grand Central Pub (right opposite Brighton Station.) You can also get food there before or after the party should you wish.

Make a decorative bowl or candle-holder
2-hour workshop
£45 per head, including glass of bubbly
Details:
Each person will make a candle-holder or small bowl out of clay. Participants will decorate their pot with carving, holes and other additions, and will choose from a range of dipping glazes for the final finish.

Hand-build a beautiful mug
3-hour workshop
£60 per head, including glass of bubbly
Details:
Participants will make a slab-built mug out of high-quality stoneware clay. If there is time they can also add carved decoration, and will choose a lovely dipping glaze for decoration.
Group Size: 6 - 20 participants
Following the workshop we will fire and glaze your pottery in a glaze colour you choose from our selection.
We can post out the pots to one address (at cost of p&p) or they can be collected from our studio in Brighton.
A 50% deposit is needed to secure the booking, with the remainder payable a month before the event.
