The open studio runs on Tuesday evenings from 7.15 – 9.45pm at our studio on Hartington Road (BN2 3PA).

​DETAILS

• The studio operates on a membership basis, with a one-off cost of £30 to join*. Potters will have use of the wheels, hand-building tools, moulds, textures, stamps, white or buff clay, and a range of glazes and underglazes.
   

• When you join the studio you will receive an initial session, where we will introduce you to the space and talk to you about the glazes we have on offer.  

*If you are an existing student on one of our 6-week courses, we will waive the membership fee.

• The open studio isn’t staffed, so members are expected to have enough knowledge and confidence to work independently.
   

• When you enquire about using the open studio, please complete this online questionnaire, which will give us a good idea of your level of experience and what you are looking for. 
   

• If you feel that you may need more tuition before using our open studio, then you are very welcome to join one of our courses.

COST

​

The open studio costs £28 for 2 ½ hours (Tuesdays 7.15 – 9.45pm). 

​

• Members must buy packages of 6 x open studio sessions for £168, which will be crossed off as they get used.
   

• We don’t require a weekly commitment from members, but do expect attendance at least once a month, as we don’t have space to store much in-progress work.
   

• If you are unable to attend for a few weeks, then we will bank your unused sessions to be used at a later date, and you must take away any unfinished items.

Firing costs are extra and will be charged at £1 per 100g of finished fired and glazed work.

BOOKING

​

Booking is online via Eventbrite. Potters can sign up for a throwing space (2 available) or a hand-building space (5 available). A reminder email will be sent out each week. 

​

On street parking is free at the time of the studio session.
